Blair has now proven himself an absolute bully. The 90 days internment which he is demanding for suspect terrorists makes a mockery of the law. If as the government and the police are telling us, that the evidence for other terrorist attacks is "chilling", surely that means that there should be more than enough evidence to arrest and charge the right people, rather than make pre-emptive attacks and risks locking up the wrong people for 6 months of their lives.

So autocratic is Mr Blair that he is determined to bully back benchers and the opposition
members on all side to vote for a bill that is clearly going to have the opposite effect of creating even more terrorists as well as eroding basic civil rights. Blair has taken to upping the anti when he wants his own way, and generally frightening the entire population seems to be a big part of his strategy.
