Rants from a Jamaican British Woman

My computer has been playing up, a real pain in the butt, so I haven't been doing much blogging lately. Oh yes that war and other things. I have come to the conclusion that Mr Blair must be right in his determination to go to war against Iraq. Everybody else is wrong including the millions who marched on 15th February. Hard hitters such as Nelson Mandela, Jessie Jackson, Kenneth Clarke, Harold Pinter, Michael Mansfield, Katharine Hamnett, Will Self, Zadie Smith (who I think I may have met on occasions) Ken Livingstone to name just a few. I have been reading all those brilliant comments in today's Guardian. How right you are Ronan Bennett. "Any fool can make war. Peace requires greater vision and courage". And strong words from Zadie Smith who I am sure speak for millions of young people who are not yet parents and who are watching and hoping that the madness of Blair and Bush does not lead to the destruction of this great earth. Ms Smith says "We proceed in Iraq as hypocrites and cowards, and the world knows it". Oh yes it is cool to share a surname with that Ms Z Smith. I know it the commonest name in the world, but hey! you can't have everything. Yes Mr Blair and Mr Bush, the world knows it.
We are onto all your lies and completely hypocrital behaviour. This is racism at its extreme. Have niether of you learnt anything from slavery?. Ok Bush is too darn stupid to learn anything I suspect. But Mr Blair, shame, shame on you. Stop now while you can. We the human race will accept your apology. Don't allow bloody male pride to dictate the destruction of a country. A war in Iraq as everyone else has stated can do nothing but bring great instability to the region and frankly to the rest of the world. If you Mr Blair and you Mr Bush gave a toss about the Iraqi people, you would never have allowed their starvation for the past 12 years.
Europeans already have rivers of blood on their hands. Europeans, have raped and pillaged their way around the globe over centuries. People around the world who have been victims of European greed have learnt to forgive and live side by side with you. Dam it, I even married one of you guys. Do not keep repeating history over and over again in different guises. Leave Iraq alone. Stop using the few Iraqi's who are well set up financially in the West as justification for bombing their country in order to steal their resources. Honestly no right minded person is fooled by your moral rhetoric.
When Europeans were raping and pillaging in Africa, there were plenty of Blacks who aided and abetted for whatever they could get out of it materially. It did not make those actions right though did it? And let face it, the Europeans marched through Africa with the Bible in one hand and the gun in the other, and 400 years later? Black people are holding the gun to their own heads. The strategy of dehumanization worked well. The bible is still working very well as well. While the Europeans and the Americans work over time to grab all the worlds resources, most Blacks are waiting to get their reward in heaven.
Sometimes, I feel as though the Western world has no morals. All over the world, our European leaders and businessmen are involved in actions that are irrehensible. e.g. what the oil manufactories are doing in countries like Nigeria. Ordinary Nigerians having to risk burning themselves to death to get a little fuel, while the conglomerates support a politcally currupt regime to get fatter and greedier every day, so that the interest in raping the country of its resources can be continued without question. Morals, what bloody morals, when in this country we are prepared to pay upwards of £3.00 for a cup of coffee, whilst the people who grow the crop are starving. Morals when the majority of Ghana's 18 million population are living on less than 30p a day, even those Ghanaians who litterally live on top of gold and diamond mines. I could go on. There is no morality, other than that which is simply a social construction of greedy westerners determined to be the keeper of the world's resources.
I have come to the alarming conclusion, that Blair and Bush only want Mr Hussein to get rid of his long range missiles in order to make it easier for the armies to go in and bomb the living shite of Iraq. I mean what is the man and his soldiers going to use to defend themselves against a 250,000 army with the military might that America and Britain possess. ? Sticks and stones I suppose. What do we think these people who have been blowing themselves up in Israel is about? Hell all they have is themselves.
What I read in the newspapers about Mr Hussein's attrocities against his own people, I must accept what I read as the truth, which is not easy when one understands the power of the media to distort facts for its particular ends. However, reputable people have confirmed it to be so, e.g. the delectable Benjamin Zephaniah (who I have definitely met) Don't be jealous, so I am agreed with everyone else. So I don't like the man, just like I don't like a lot of other nasty despotic world leaders. I say use intelligence to track him down. Milosovic was found as was that woman who was sentenced today for Bosnian war crimes. Pinochet, well we had him hear in a hospital bed and posh hotels. It's not that the powers that be don't know how to find these wicked and oppressive leaders. Find Mr Hussein, try him as a war criminal and lock him and his cronies up for a very long time. That is simply the best way to give the Iraqi people a chance to rebuild their lives. Ending sanctions would of course also assist that process.
Oh yes, I am sure a good lawyer, say like the rather gorgeous Michael Mansfied could easily find enough evidence against Mr Bush to lock him up for crimes against humanity forever and ever.
I am not anti-American. Some of my best friends are Americans. I am however incredibly anti Mr Bush and his bizzare regime and ridiculous rantings. Like his name, I think he should be taken out into the wilderness and left there to reflect on his incredibly stupid actions.
I am aware of my spelling and grammar, but I am too tired to do anything about it. Just rest assured that I am significantly brighter than Mr Bush.
I have just heard that Mr Hussein has agreed to get rid of his long range weapons. Still want to bomb Iraq Mr Bush and Mr Blair?
But of course you do. After all you too are the real dangerous men.
